Spending a year studying with Scott Wilson and Jay Lawrence, Nate was featured both as a soloist and composer. Nate accepted a contract with Universal Studios Japan and performed with the three highest ranked performing groups in 2006. In 2007, Nate started his own production company, Nate Anderson Productions, and began attending Utah Valley University on full percussion scholarship studying with Dr. Doug Smith. Nate has recently graduated from the reputable Indiana University Jacobs School of music with a Masters degree in Jazz Studies where he won Downbeat awards, studied with music legends Steve Houghton and Michael Spiro, and has toured across the United States, Australia, Mexico, Cayman Islands, South Korea, Honduras, Belize, and Japan. Nate is passionate about the new education branch of Nate Anderson Productions where he loves giving developing musicians an opportunity to express their talents through performance. Nate currently composes and performs for the UVU contemporary dance department and shares his music professionally in the community, nationally, and internationally.
